Fallen Paramedic Memorial Project

Please see below for an update on the Fallen Paramedic Memorial Project

July 11, 2014 at 11:27 AM

Recently, the executive teamed up with members of the 10-7 association to make a presentation to the government seeking support for a Provincial Paramedic Line of Duty Death memorial.

We are very pleased to announce that this project has not only received approval from the speaker of the house, but her substantial support.

BC will join a select few Provinces that will have a Paramedic memorial on the lawn of the legislature, next to the police and fire.

As part of this project, the committee has designed draft versions of what the monument would look like.  In the next week, the union will be asking members to vote, via our website, on which monument they wish to see representing fallen paramedics.

We hope to have the project complete and a media release to coincide with the sitting of the house in October.

We should all be very proud of the hard work the committee has done in making this important honour a reality.

Stay tuned to vote!
