Ambulance New Brunswick (ANB) has confirmed that Atlantic Charters, the contracted air service for Grand Manan Island, crashed in a wooded area near the airport in Grand Manan shortly after 5:00 a.m. today. Two pilots, an ANB paramedic and a registered nurse with the Grand Manan Hospital were on board at the time of crash. One pilot and the registered nurse survived. The paramedic and the second pilot did not survive the crash.
The Ambulance Paramedics & Emergency Dispatchers of BC have been in contact with both ANB and respective members from the Paramedic Association of Canada to offer condolences and support.
