FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 6th 2018 KELOWNA BC
The Tour Paramedic Ride 2018 rolls through the Okanagan June 7th – 10th in support of the Canadian Paramedic Memorial Foundation. 45 Riders from across Canada are taking part in this years ride with 30 from BC and 17 riders from the Okanagan. The ride begins June 7th in Osoyoos touring through the beautiful Okanagan ending in Kamloops June 10th for the closing Ceremonies.
This is the 2nd year for the BC chapter of the Paramedic Ride. Through your generosity and dedication, it has grown substantially in riders and support.
These dedicated riders are raising funds in support of constructing a monument in the Nations’ Capital – Ottawa, Ontario to commemorate those Paramedics who have lost their lives in the line-of-duty. Since 1988, 10 British Columbia Paramedics have given their life in the line of duty. This important monument will be a place where family, friends and colleagues can remember their loved ones and honor the dedication and sacrifice of all Canadian Paramedics who have lost their lives.
The Paramedic Ride is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the Paramedic community. Canadian Paramedics are an integral part of Emergency Services and are dedicated to the safety, security and preservation of life both at home and abroad. Often engaged in dangerous places, events and sometimes-unimaginable situations, Paramedics serve us all proudly.
Give generously as every dollar counts – no donation is too small. The Foundation relies solely on public donations and corporate sponsorship for fundraising.
