Recently some of your Paramedics went to the PNE during the CKNW Day. My son Cruz attended, he has Spina Bifida and is paralyzed from the waist down.
Cruz gets left out of alot of things due to his school not incorporating and wheelchair activities into their curriculum. Cruz is very active and plays wheelchair basketball and tennis but has had a rough go at school due to their lack of understanding and ignorance of his learning disibilities even with a psychoeducational report to spell it out for them. Needless to say, this day at the PNE I was told he was invited but would not being going on rides due to nobody willing to help him.
I was moved to tears to hear how these two amazingly sweet paramedics took the time to help Cruz onto rides, and also ride with him. Would love to find out who these two angels on earth are, and let them know how much they touched not only my son's heart, but mine. They brought his self esteem up so high, because he finally felt important and for once, he got to have fun.
I know all paramedics have hearts of gold, and go above and beyond each and every day, and I praise you all. Please if there is any way to pass on my heartfelt THANK YOU to these two men, it would mean the world to me.
