To help ensure stable staffing in all three dispatch centres, the Clinical Hub, PS Desk, Patient Transfer Services (PTS) and the Patient Transport Coordination Centre (PTCC) over the weekend BCEHS is offering pre-scheduled overtime.

In cooperation with APBC / CUPE 873, and in place of mandatory recall, vacant shifts in all three Dispatch Centres, as well as the associated departments listed above, may be filled on overtime from August 27 at 1800 through to August 31, 2026 at 0600.

2.0 overtime has been approved for EMCT and EMD qualified employees, as well as supervisors, for day and night shifts worked at LDOC, VDOC, or KDOC from August 27 through to, and including August 31, 2026 until 0600.

This incentive only applies to staff who will be picking up shifts at OT and not to on-call or part-time staff who have not worked enough hours in the pay period to have overtime applied to their shift.

Regular operations will resume on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 0600.
