As per Bylaw 13.d3(b), this is the 1st & 2nd Call for Nominations for the positions listed below. The 3rd & FINAL call for nominations will follow October 2, 2019. The elections will take place on October 11, 2019 at the Provincial Executive Board meeting.

Since our initial call for nominations for PEC and Standing Committee Positions has taken place, a few changes have occurred that have made cause for vacancies.
First, Corey Viala has announced his decision to retire, and subsequently will be resigning from his position as Provincial Safety Director immediately following Convention. As Corey was acclaimed into his position for the upcoming election, the position will be vacant and will need to be filled in accordance with Bylaw 13.d3(b).
On behalf of our entire membership, we would like to thank Corey Viala for his many years of service to our union. Corey has been an advocate for safety for almost a decade, serving over nine years as our Provincial Safety Director. Corey leaves big shoes to fill, and we wish him well on his retirement and next adventures.
As you all know, the position of Provincial President was acclaimed, with Troy Clifford accepting the position. One of Troy’s many roles with the union has been serving as a Benefit Trustee. With the acceptance of his new position, Troy is no longer able to serve on the Benefit Committee and as such, we will need to hold an election in accordance with Bylaw 13.d3(b) to fill his position for the balance of his two-year term.
Nominations must be submitted through the electronic form provided on the APBC.ca web site (https://www.apbc.ca/nominations/). VERBAL, WRITTEN or FAXED nominations will NOT be accepted.
Nominees MUST CONFIRM their ACCEPTANCE of nomination ON-LINE at https://www.apbc.ca/my-nominations prior to the close of 3rd & FINAL call for nominations. ONLY ON-LINE acceptances will be considered valid.
The onus is on the NOMINEE to ensure their nomination has been accepted within the time limits. NO FURTHER attempts will be taken to confirm acceptance of nomination.
The DEADLINE for 3rd & FINAL call for nominations is WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2019.
