The BC First Responders Mental Health Committee invites you to attend an interactive two-day conference on January 31st and Feb 1st, 2019 aimed at creating a positive conversation about mental health in the first responder community. Learn about resources to help support your team and discover new tools to support first responders in caring for their mental well-being. Hear from top speakers, including Trevor Hughes, BC’s Deputy Minister, Labour, Ellen Kirschman, recipient of the American Psychological Association’s 2010 award for outstanding contribution to the practice of police and public safety psychology, and Dr. Shannon Wagner, Professor in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Northern British Columbia with a research focus on occupational mental health.
