Building Resilient Workplaces Workshop – Registration Bursary EOI

Building Resilient Workplaces Workshop – Registration Bursary EOI

As you are aware, the BC First Responders’ Mental Health Committee is holding “Building Resilient Workplaces” workshops around the province aimed at promoting positive mental health in public safety organizations. Learn about recommended practices, resources, and strategies to help support your team to promote positive mental health and build resilience in your workplace.

We are pleased to announce that at our annual convention this past week a motion was passed that the APBC and EDBC offer up to ten (10) bursaries to our members to attend these workshops. As seating is limited, we are asking anyone interested to submit an expression of interest by 1600 on October 21, 2019 indicating the following:

  1. Please forward your expression of interest via email to info@apbc.ca with “Expression of Interest Building Resilient Workplaces Workshop” in the subject line.
  2. Include a brief statement of 100 words or less explaining your reason for requesting the bursary and wanting to attend the workshop.
  3. Name, Station, Paramedic/Dispatcher level/role, email and phone number
  4. Please advise which workshop(s) you wish to attend. We note some are already full however we have requested additional spots.

Selection will be made by the Ambulance Paramedics of BC Union Trustees, taking into account availability of seats, complete applications, and then a draw of names. The bursary is for registration only; there is no additional funding available from APBC/EDBC for travel or other expenses.

Notwithstanding the above, if you are a leader, influencer or implementer, please consider attending this interactive workshop. You will leave with strategies of your own on how to build resilience in your organization. The workshop will be delivered in locations across the province. Seating is limited. Registration fee: $375 + GST (includes meals and post-workshop networking reception).
