Alexandra Anastasia Marshinew – Region 3 – Regional Public ED. Director

Hello APBC!

My name is Lexi and I’m a full time Paramedic in the bustling metropolis of Armstrong, BC. I currently live in Lake Country with my 5 year old son, Jackson. I went FT with BCEHS in February of 2022 to Vancouver Post, and while I was there I had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most amazing Paramedics I’ve ever met. It is there where I started really thinking about how I could pursue a Union role and what that would mean for me. When I came home to Kelowna post, I had the privilege of working closely with APBC’s current Provincial Recording Secretary, Jessica Chilton, as my Unit Chief who empowered my inspiration for Union involvement further. I was inspired to get involved with our APBC Union to really learn how I could make a difference and advocate for myself, my colleagues, my community and Paramedicine as a whole from within a Union role. The role of Regional Public Ed. Director appealed to me particularly because of the endless opportunities to further public education, get more involved with our local communities and really learn what it means to work from within the Union. So if you’ll have me, I promise I’ll strive to be a the best community team player I can be, and I’m proud to represent our Union and profession while I do it!
