Re:       Convention Webinar Information

As you know, the difficult decision was made by the Provincial Executive Board to cancel Convention 2020. As has been reported, this decision was made out of an abundance of caution as the health and safety of our members, their families and those that we serve remains a top priority for us during this pandemic. Although we cannot proceed with Convention in the manner to which we are accustomed, we want to ensure we have an opportunity to address the membership and to report on the significant work that has been done this year. 

As such, we would like to invite the members to join the Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) for a live webinar on October 7, 2020 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  During these two hours our Provincial President, Troy Clifford, will give a detailed and comprehensive report typical of what would be delivered at Convention. In addition to Troy, our Provincial Vice Presidents, Provincial Chief Grievance Officer, Provincial Secretary Treasurer and Provincial Recording Secretary will all give abbreviated reports.

If you are unable to join us for the live webinar, we will be recording the session and it will made available to members to view at their leisure. Please note that live web-attendance for the events is limited to 500 members due to platform constraints. 

The webinar will not have an interactive chat function. In lieu of that, and in an effort to address our members most significant questions and concerns, we ask that you email questions to questions@apbc.ca. We will endeavour to answer questions submitted to this email over the two weeks following the webinar and will issue a FAQ that addressed the most common themes and questions asked. We also encourage you to bring forward your questions, comments and concerns to your Regional Vice Presidents, who are always available to their regions for discussion and dialogue (find contact info here: https://www.apbc.ca/members-area/contacts/regional-vice-presidents/).
