CUPE National Governance Survey
Dear Members;
Please see information below on the CUPE National governance survey.
Re: National Governance Survey
Our National President, Mark Hancock, has requested CUPE BC to send a reminder to Locals and District Councils to take some time and participate in the Governance Survey.
At CUPE’s 2017 National Convention, delegates adopted a resolution to create a task force to “conduct a comprehensive review of the governance and structure of our National Union.” The task force, confirmed in March this year, is seeking thoughts and ideas from CUPE members, locals and other chartered bodies on how the union can improve its governance. The National President and Secretary Treasurer also made presentations at a number of Division conventions this year including at our CUPE BC convention in April.
To participate, visit, surveys.cupe.ca where you can download a discussion guide and a survey. We hope you can make time to discuss this at your local meetings and complete the survey by November 15th.
Thank you for your attention to this important request that will greatly assist our National Union.
In solidarity,
CUPE BC Division
