Presidents Update: “On May 29 / 30th, we completed two full days of mediations with Arbitrator Vince Ready. Unfortunately, we remained unable to reach an agreement on the outstanding issues detailed in my May 2019 Bargaining Update (https://bit.ly/320Xejt). During the weeks since then, the parties have been working with Mr. Ready individually to move towards an agreement on the last remaining issues.”
Provincial Public Education: “During summer we are busy with many Public Education events. We get invited to many parades and markets and family fun fairs. If you are interested in helping or being a part of any of these great events or even starting one yourself, please reach out to your local Public Education Director!…”
2019 BC Paramedic Ride: “The 3rd annual BC Paramedic Ride took place from June 4th to 7th this year. Forty-nine (49) riders, ten of which were from outside of BC, rode from Osoyoos to Kamloops totalling 400 kilometres. They were supported by eighteen (18) volunteers throughout the ride…”
Ceremonial Unit Spotlight: “Ryan Stefani – Paramedic with the BC Ambulance Service for 13 years. I began my career at Station 265 (Madeira Park) as a Primary Care Paramedic where I stayed for 3 years before transferring to Station 224 (Whistler) and then leaving BC to begin my Advanced Care Paramedic training at Holland College in PEI…”
