Loss of Paramedics Goedicke and Thompson

Dear Members,

Re: Loss of Paramedics Goedicke and Thompson

Today marks the twenty-sixth (26) anniversary of the tragic loss of the crew of C-GPUN near Masset, BC.

Paramedics Andreas Goedicke and Wendy Thompson perished when the Airevac Learjet they were on went down over the ocean in the early morning hours near Masset, BC.  The flight team was en route to transport a pregnant woman to Prince Rupert.  Three others also perished – Dr. Jeffrey Dolph and pilots Daniel Jorgensen and Geir Zinke.

Please take a moment today to remember this crew and the eight other paramedics who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

There is no time limit for grief, and although the intensity of emotions may lessen with time you may find the anniversary of a tragic event can evoke powerful memories and feelings.  We would like to remind members that the Peer Critical Incident Stress Management Team is available 24/7 by pager at 1-855-969-4321.

Sincerely,
