President’s Update Work has also commenced on the establishment of an Essential Services Order (ESO) for this round of bargaining. That means a system-wide review between the Employer and Union to determine each car, shift or otherwise position as either essential, or not.”

Recent Elections “Please join us in welcoming Dave Leary, Melissa Hansler, Melanie Stephens and Megan Nelson to the team.  Two elections were held at Convention 2018 and a by-election was held at a recent Provincial Executive Board Meeting.”
 
Convention 2018 “Convention is done for another year.  Thank you to the 143 delegates that represented the membership. A total of 41 resolutions were considered, debated and voted on this year.  Check out the APBC website  for the Convention 2018 Package which includes minutes and the results of the resolutions.”   

BC First Responder’s Mental Health “I am proud to announce that as a result of the work that this committee has undertaken over the last three years, the committee will be recognized with a JIBC award on November 15th. The  Dr. Joseph H. Cohen Award is presented to an individual or organization for making an outstanding contribution to public safety.
