Paramedics Impress

On the evening of Thursday, Feb. 7, my mother-in-law, who is 83, fell and fractured her hip. She was attended by four wonderful paramedics who were caring, compassionate and calm. They had to take her down the staircase from the second floor of the apartment building. They were careful beyond words. Then at the emergency it was either Leena or Danielle who kept us informed while we waited in the waiting room. We were told that Mom would be getting transported in the morning to Lions Gate Hospital for surgery. I asked if I could be with her on her travels and they were most supportive and kind.

The next morning, the paramedics arrived to take us to the city. It was snowing and cold. Alena and Richard were awesome, kind and caring to Mom. They wrapped her snug as a bug for her trip.

Thank you to our B.C. paramedics for being so comforting. Alena and Richard are apparently newer to their jobs, but trust me, you both have a bright future ahead – your kindness and sincere approach was felt and appreciated more than you know. Thank you for your service to our community.
