We are writing to advise you of some temporary changes to the Provincial Executive Committee. Effective immediately, Sherman Hillier (Provincial 2nd Vice President) has once again accepted a temporary assignment with CUPE National as a staff representative. While he is working for CUPE National, Jason Jackson, our current Provincial Chief Grievance Officer (PCGO), will fulfill the Provincial 2nd Vice President role as per our union bylaws. This created a vacancy for the PCGO position. A call for interest was put out to the Provincial Executive Board, and from there the PEC appointed a successful candidate.
We are pleased to announce that Dustin Jackson will act as the PCGO for the duration of Sherman’s assignment with CUPE.
Any inquiries that would normally be sent to Sherman, should be directed to Jason at jason.jackson@apbc.ca, and correspondence that was previously sent to Jason should be directed to Dustin at dustin.jackson@apbc.ca.
Dustin’s acceptance of the PCGO position will result in some temporary changes to the Regional Executive in 2 West. Those changes will be communicated to the region when appointments have been made.
