Russ passed away on April 20, 2018 with his love, Saki and his dog, Minnah by his side. He had been surrounded by family and friends until the end.
He was born in Kamloops, BC to George and Grace Gatehouse in August 1961. He lived in Kamloops and Barriere while growing up and graduated from Barriere Secondary School. While living in Barriere, he worked for BC Ambulance and Tolko Mill. When Tolko burned down in 2003, he moved to Vancouver to continue his passion of working as a paramedic, a job he loved!

Nieces and Nephew Megan (Ryan) Sutherland, Jillian (Joshua) Sharp and Cameron (Sydney) Stenberg. His pride and joy Collin Hunh, Saki Kakutani and his best friend Minnah. As well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and great nieces and nephews.
