Wounded Warriors Canada – Warrior Kids Virtual Program

January 5, 2022

Dear Members,

Re:  Wounded Warriors Canada – Warrior Kids Virtual Program

We are always advocating for Self Care, but what about support for our families? We get injured at work and then potentially bring it home to our families.

Over several years we have developed a supportive relationship with Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC). We have several members taking an active part in some of their runs and bike rides, such as Aggie Pringle on Vancouver Island. WWC has put efforts in developing quality training and educational opportunities to support the mental health of Military, Veterans and First Responders and their families.

Starting in February they will be running their online Warrior Kids Program. Their focus is to assist children in dealing with the secondary impacts of Occupational Stress Injuries (OSI). There are two groups, ages 7-10, and 11-16. There is no cost to participating and space is limited, early enrolment is key!

If you have children or know of children in the first responder community that could benefit from this support, please share the registration information.
