RE: DELEGATES TO CONVENTION 2022 1st & 2nd CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
As required by our By-Laws, this is the FIRST (1st) & SECOND (2nd) call for nominations for Full Time/Regular Part Time and On-call Delegates to Convention 2022. This year, Convention will be held over two (2) days, October 18th & 19th at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport in Richmond.
Please note: As per a bylaw resolution passed at Convention 2021, regional delegates shall be elected as a single unified group (nominations and elections will no longer be separated by career status). This will result in one nomination open per region and one election per region.
You will be advised at a later date as to the number of delegates entitled to attend Convention for your Region. Please note that nominations must be for members in good standing in the Union.
Nominations must be submitted through the electronic form provided on the APBC.ca web site (https://www.apbc.ca/elections/nominations/) VERBAL, WRITTEN or FAXED nominations will NOT be accepted. 3rd and FINAL call for nominations will follow in July.
Nominees MUST CONFIRM their ACCEPTANCE of nomination ON-LINE at https://www.apbc.ca/elections/my-nominations/ prior to the close of 3rd & FINAL call for nominations. ONLY ON-LINE acceptances will be considered valid.
*PLEASE SIGN UP TO THE NEW WEBSITE AND EDIT AND FILL OUT YOUR PROFILE SO WE CAN CONNECT WITH YOU! As we have just launched a new website, we are still populating the membership data base. Members are required to create their own account and self-register on the new website. Members can create their log-in at https://www.apbc.ca/employee-signup/. If the member that you would like to nominate has not registered, you need to reach out to them to ensure that they create an account and set up a profile so they are notified of their nomination. You can also contact webmaster@apbc.ca and someone will follow up.
The onus is on the NOMINEE to ensure their nomination has been accepted within the time limits. NO FURTHER attempts will be taken to confirm acceptance of nomination.
The DEADLINE for 3rd & FINAL call for nominations is THURSDAY, JULY 21, 2022.
